Hey MML --It seems Scotiabank is affliated with BOA. I actually use BOA here in the US and its a great program. Also try ING direct, http://www.ingdirect.ca/en/ ---- you can have a deduction each time you get paid and it takes 3 days for transfers to get your money back.
How much debt do you have. The best thing to do is tally all of your bills and see how much you owe on everything and then you can better formulate a plan. I hope this helps, if you need more let me know.

1thank you so much. i will look into that. i have lots of debt. 3000 on a credit card and 7000 on a line of credit. i was kicked out at 17 and ended up getting lots of credit cards and having too much fun. luckily the bank offered me the line of credit which helps because i have a much lower interest rate this way and when i pay the bill it actually puts a dent.
thanks again.
2Good advice, bellaressa! I'll be posting some of my thoughts on SavvySugar tomorrow. I hope it helps!
3I would say see about having part of your paycheck go direct deposit into your other accounts. I don't know if it can go to a credit card, but possibly to the line of credit?
4you can also set up automatic payments weekly through your bank. TD Canada Trust does this as well.
5yeah i do the automatic withdrawl to go to the line of credit but then if i "need" the money i can easily transfer it back.. so. yeah. no willpower here.
6create an account that you cannot touch. Therefore it isn't attached to your debit card.
7Scotiabank in Canada will roll up to the next dollar the amount that you spend on your debit transactions and put it in a separate savings account. For example if you spend 6.25 they will put .75 into a savings account. Hope this helps!
