I have been currently living in my apartment in West Philadelphia with 5 other friends from my university. It is dirt cheap, but we live in an area that is not the safest and our landlord is unreasonable in a lot of aspects. I have an opportunity to move in with a friend I am much closer with, but would have to pay an extra $315 a month ($3780 for the year). Those $3800 would be a lot of money that I could use to save for my future, but with no responsibilities to pay for college or my rent now (my parents pay for both), I feel that I should ease into the adult responsibility of paying bills. In this time of economic turmoil, is it better for me to save for the future or learn responsibility?

Thanks!
