I saw this crazy iPhone app yesterday called iTrust that records your mates attempts to break into your texts and emails while you're away. The app developers also give an interesting fact: 67 percent of British women say they regularly snoop around in their boyfriend's phone. It got me wondering how many people would actually buy this app in fear that their significant others are spying on them?
Geek Tip: Leave Sticky Notes For Yourself on the Web
I use the "Stickies" application for Mac more than anyone I know. At any given moment, I have at least 10 sticky notes open on my desktop — they're like virtual post-its for remembering everything from my mom's new email address to funny quotes from friends or the day's to-do list. Now, one web start-up is applying the post-it concept to web pages, too.
Geek Tip: Use iPhone's WiFi on Your Next Flight
I figured out this iPhone tip after my laptop battery died while on a WiFi-equipped cross-country flight. Unlike Virgin America (my favorite high-tech airline!), there weren't individual seat outlets, so once the battery was gone, it was gone. Just as I was starting to feel anxiety about being disconnected for the remainder of the flight, I remembered my iPhone's WiFi capabilities and wondered if I'd be able to switch the WiFi on while keeping the cellular signal in the FAA-mandated "off" position.
